VIEWFINDERS OF ROMSEY wish to announce the passing away of one of its most distinguished members.

We are very sorry to have to inform you that Peter died last Saturday (17th January 2004) after battling for a considerable time with cancer. 

Peter had been a member of Viewfinders for many years and had  served on the committee for most of that time until ill-health made this impossible.  He had always meant to rejoin when he could but sadly we will not have the pleasure of his company again.

He had been one of the first members of the original digital group in Viewfinders and could always be relied upon to share with us any technique or information that he had discovered, indeed he was looking forward to buying a more up to date computer this year. 

We will always remember him for his total reliability - when Peter said he'd do something you knew it would be done and would be done well.  A lifetime in the insurance business stood him in good stead and he was always able to offer the committee good advice in this area. 

I will shortly be writing to Ena, his widow, on your behalf.  It is perhaps best not to contact Ena directly at this difficult time, but please fell free to send your own cards.
