Also attended PAGB Print Championship. So'ton CC came 4 th overall, so will automatically qualify for next year. B'm'th PS came 9 th overall out of 35. Congratulations to both clubs. Image appreciation day cancelled through lack of support although small group did meet informally. Lecturers/judges need to be reminded in good time and follow up letters after tel. bookings should be sent promptly. Clubs should follow guidelines in PAGB Handbook re bookings. All relevant officers in every club should have copy of SPF deadline diary, published regularly in Exposure, enabling them to monitor their receipt of documents/action necessary as composite mailings, to save postage are sent out several times a year. 2005 Online comp. will run from Jan. to Apr. SPF Exh. & Slide Champ. will take place in Jan. B'm'th raised query regarding one club's work being judged twice by same person in league rounds. Advised nothing actually in rules prohibiting this. When booking judges, they need to be made aware of all three clubs involved.

6•  Treasurer's Report. Current financial situation: Cash - £51.70. C/A - £453.32. High Int. D/A- £6268.60. PAGB subs. to be paid in Jan. of £1518 (67 clubs @ £22 each. Two new clubs – Sway & IOW Dig. Group. 5 clubs still to pay subs. Small profit to SPF funds from sale of print boxes, now run by Eric Bennett of Alton CC. Thanks to him for efficiently organising this.

PAGB insce docs. will be distributed at end of meeting – Cheques by 15. Jan. 2005 to SPF Treas.

No increase on last year. Recommended Clubs should have at least £2,000,000 PL cover. Do Not take for granted meeting places have adequate cover. CHECK. Leo Rich advised that local authorities now insisting on £5.000,000. Insurance wise, a judge visiting a club treated as private person (covered by own house insce) but lecturer charging fee should have own P/L cover.

    7. Secretary's Report. Publicity material received from British Wildlife Centre. Details will go in Exposure & on website. British Heart Foundation appealing for unused projectors for use by their fund raisers.

8•  Roll of Honour. Nothing to report.

9•  Competition Secretaries' Reports. a) League. This year's matches progressing well. 2005/6 fixture list will be available at weekend on website. Query raised by Woolston CC, whether clubs with ‘free rounds' for dates could have ‘fixed dates' similar to other leagues to avoid more than one battle in a week. Advised not practical, but if any club is unhappy with date allocated they should promptly take it up with host club. Host clubs (per rules) should liase with visiting clubs.

A member of one club was unhappy that his work had been sent to Guernsey last year for a league match. Advised visiting clubs needed to give their approval. Hosting a league round is one way in way in which they get to see other club's work. As only one approved judge in Guernsey this also a problem. To be discussed by Council.

    b) Slide Championship. John Mahany advised 23 clubs entered. Titles & first round slides to be to him by 15 th Jan. 2005. Posters to be distributed. Encourage members to come along even if own club not participating. One member to represent each club, otherwise admittance £3.

    c) Print Championship 2006. Will be on last Sunday in Jan. Highcliffe & Infinity will host.

    d) Digital File Competition. Some clubs in UK already running national comps. but they do present technological problems. This is the way forward for photography – much cheaper than producing prints. Tony Riley, LIPP from Dorking had just now agreed to give a lecture on Sun. Mar. 13 th 2005 on faults & problems in setting up this type of competition. Willing also to help any club on these problems. Further details as soon as available on SPF website.

10•  Exhibition Secretary's Report. Judging will be on Sun. 12 th Dec. by John Tilsley from Dorchester . Stewards particularly needed for Tuesdays & Saturdays (Library requirement). Timetable & details of clubs projecting slides in Exposure. Invitations to participate in 2006 Exhibition will be sent out in Feb. Thereafter, Bill hopes to be able to use mainly e.mail.

11•  PAGB Exhibition Secretary's Report. PAGB Slide Exh. judged in Oct. Won by Midland Counties. SPF came 9 th with 10 of our allowed 33 entries accepted. Anne thanked those that had submitted slides for possible selection. Work at present in SPF area for 2 weeks. The two vacant dates for Jan. 2006 now taken. 16•  Judges' Secretary's Report. Some general enquiries, but nothing positive.

17•  PAGB Executive Member's Report. Attended meeting Oct. Necessary to ensure rules are in place to deal with possible dissolution of a club. Of 10 awarded APAGB at meeting, one was Bob Elliott of So'ton CC. Reminder to clubs for names to be included on our Roll of Honour, before further awards should be considered. FIAP to have fixed office in Paris – means increased entry fees for Exhs. offering FIAP awards. No results yet from PAGB Assts. held 27/28 th Nov. New PAGB rules re membership of clubs in different Feds. for their comps. No feedback yet on revised FIAP definition of Monochrome. Margaret Collis now on FIAP board.
