The SPF every year holds an annual Exhibition by its members clubs. The Exhibition is a show case for the clubs within the Southern Photographic Federation. Due to space in the gallery we can only show 39 club print panels. With the slide panels we can show every club that wishes to enter,as there are no restrictions on the number of entries that we receive. The clubs are invited to send in a panel of six prints (Mono or colour) and eight slides. We ask the clubs for prints and slides, from as many members as possible, In some cases the smaller clubs may have a problem ,in this situation, we will allow each member to enter more than one exhibit. Every entry that the member enters will be exhibited,we have no rejections, we only ask the judge to view and give his awards . The term ‘Panel' or ‘Collection' of prints means that a club, if they wish can enter on a theme or just a collection, which sits well together. The collection of (Prints) are on view at the same time for the judge to make a selection for possible awards. In the prints, they can be mixed (Mono and Colour) we are looking for 1st., 2nd., and 3rd.,places and up three Highly Commendeds. We have individual awards for Mono and Colour with 1st.,2nd., and 3rd., places and up to three H.C.'s in either class. With the collection of (Eight slides per club) we ask the judge to mark out of (Ten). for each slide. This we find works well ,usually resulting in 1st 2nd.and 3rd.place without further marking. We also would like no more than 3 H.C.'s Regarding individual awards the slides that receive 10.marks are seen again for the judge to make his awards. 1st.2nd.and 3rd.places together with 3 H.C.'s |
