Banned Photographers
A complaint was received and investigated in regard to a breach of PAGB rules in the 2011 GB Cup. It is clear that a photograph entered by Oldham PS was not the work of the claimed photographer. There is no suggestion that the club were aware that this photographer has been passing off work obtained from the web. The result is that Oldham PS dropped from 3rd to 17th place. The photographer has been excluded from all future PAGB competitions and PAGB patronage events. The name of the photographer will be passed to PAGB patronage event organisers.
Recorded Lecture Service
Remember the RLS if you have an evening to fill; sometimes you can obtain them at short notice.
In terms of new acquisitions Rod Wheelans has produced an excellent CD for the Awards of CPAGB and DPAGB. Information on the CD shows what is needed to gain an award and shows many images at or beyond the expected standard. This should be of enormous value to clubs and no doubt will encourage more club members to apply for an award.

Your prints needed for PAGB Print Exhibition selection
We are fast approaching the time when we will need to make our selection for this exhibition. You can hand your prints in at the SF Championships at Littleton, Winchester via your club rep on the 25th March, or send them direct to me. Email to make arrangements.
There are a lot of photographers within the federation who have work accepted at international and national level and yet we seldom have this work submitted to us. Whilst I do not want to exclude anyone from submitting their work we do need high quality images.
One way of seeing the standard of the PAGB Exhibtion is to look at other exhibitions on-line if you are unable to visit but to also borrow the PAGB Exhibition CD, perhaps for viewing at a club evening. This CD can be obtained from me, just email me at . It is free to borrow.
